Terms of service
TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms of Service apply to purchases made from and use of the Boltz Electronics online store. Throughout these Terms, “Boltz Electronics”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Boltz Electronics. “You” and “your” refer to the customer or person using our website.
By using our website or placing an order with Boltz Electronics, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. ABOUT BOLTZ ELECTRONICS
Boltz Electronics is an online retailer supplying electronics, technology and related products to customers.
Our business contact information will be displayed on our website and may be updated as our business develops.
Our online store is operated using the Shopify ecommerce platform.
2. USING OUR WEBSITE
You may use our website for lawful personal purposes and to browse or purchase products offered by Boltz Electronics.
You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation or security, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access, or use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
We may update, modify or temporarily suspend parts of the website where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security or business purposes.
3. PRODUCT INFORMATION
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, dimensions and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
Product images are provided for illustration and identification purposes. Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on lighting, photography and the screen or device being used.
Where products are supplied or fulfilled by third-party manufacturers or suppliers, some product information may originate from those suppliers. We will take reasonable steps to ensure information presented to customers is accurate.
Nothing in this section limits your rights where goods are faulty, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or otherwise fail to meet requirements imposed by UK consumer law.
4. PRICES
Product prices will be displayed in pounds sterling unless clearly stated otherwise.
The total price payable, including applicable taxes and delivery charges where relevant, will be shown before you complete your purchase.
Prices may change from time to time. Changes will not normally affect an order that we have already accepted.
If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may contact you before accepting or fulfilling the affected order. You will be given the opportunity to purchase at the correct price or cancel the order and receive a refund of any payment already made.
5. PLACING AN ORDER
When you submit an order through our website, you are offering to purchase the selected products.
You will normally receive an electronic acknowledgement confirming that we have received your order. An acknowledgement of receipt does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
A contract between you and Boltz Electronics is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted or when we dispatch the goods, depending on the confirmation provided to you.
Please check your order information carefully before completing your purchase.
6. AVAILABILITY
All products are subject to availability.
Occasionally, a product may become unavailable after an order has been placed.
If we cannot fulfil an order, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible. Where payment has already been taken for goods that cannot be supplied, the appropriate refund will be issued.
We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.
7. PAYMENT
Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.
You must provide accurate and complete payment, billing and contact information.
Payment processing may be carried out by Shopify and/or authorised third-party payment providers. Those providers may process information necessary to complete and protect your transaction.
8. DELIVERY
Available delivery options, charges and estimated delivery periods will be displayed or communicated where applicable.
Unless another delivery period has been agreed with you, goods will be delivered within the period required by applicable UK consumer law.
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith. Circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally cause delays. If a significant delay occurs, we will provide information about your options where required by law.
Some large or bulky products may require specialist delivery arrangements. Relevant information will be provided on the product page, during checkout or communicated to you before delivery where appropriate.
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and suitable contact information.
For large products, you should ensure that reasonable access is available at the delivery address. Product dimensions and relevant access requirements should be checked before ordering where these are provided.
9. RISK IN THE GOODS
For consumer purchases, responsibility for accidental loss or damage to goods normally remains with Boltz Electronics until the goods come into your physical possession, or into the possession of a person you have identified to receive them on your behalf, subject to applicable law.
This differs from the standard Shopify wording that may apply in some other jurisdictions.
10. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL AN ONLINE ORDER
For most goods purchased online, UK consumers normally have a legal right to change their mind and cancel the contract within fourteen days without giving a reason, subject to statutory exceptions.
For goods, the cancellation period will normally expire fourteen days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.
Where an order contains multiple goods delivered separately, the applicable cancellation period may run from receipt of the final item where required by law.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform Boltz Electronics of your decision within the applicable cancellation period.
Certain products or circumstances may be excluded from the statutory right to cancel where UK law provides an exception.
11. RETURNS FOLLOWING CANCELLATION
If you exercise a statutory right to cancel, goods should normally be returned within fourteen days after informing us of the cancellation, unless we have agreed to collect them or another legal requirement applies.
Please contact Boltz Electronics before arranging a return so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.
Do not send products to an address appearing on packaging without first obtaining return instructions from Boltz Electronics.
For change-of-mind cancellations, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where we have informed you of that responsibility as required by law.
Large or bulky goods may require specialist return transportation or collection. Where the customer is legally responsible for the direct cost of returning such goods, information about those costs will be provided as required by applicable consumer law.
Different arrangements may apply where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
12. REFUNDS FOLLOWING CANCELLATION
Where you validly exercise a statutory cancellation right, refunds will be made in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
Where required, this includes the price paid for the goods and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered for the original purchase.
If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we may not be required to refund the additional amount above the standard delivery cost.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless another method has been expressly agreed.
Where permitted by law, we may withhold reimbursement until the returned goods have been received or you provide evidence that they have been sent back.
A deduction may be made where legally permitted if the value of returned goods has been reduced because they were handled beyond what would reasonably be necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
13. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR MISDESCRIBED GOODS
Goods supplied by Boltz Electronics must comply with applicable UK consumer law.
This includes legal requirements that goods are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable and as described.
If you receive goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or materially different from their description, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide your order information.
We may ask for photographs or other reasonable information to help establish the nature of the problem.
Nothing in these Terms limits or removes any remedy available to you under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer legislation.
14. WARRANTIES
Some products may include a manufacturer's or supplier's commercial warranty.
Where a separate warranty applies, relevant details may be provided on the product page, with the product or in accompanying documentation.
Any manufacturer's or commercial warranty is additional to, and does not replace or restrict, your statutory rights against Boltz Electronics as the retailer.
15. THIRD-PARTY FULFILMENT
Boltz Electronics may use manufacturers, distributors, logistics companies or other third parties to store, dispatch or deliver products.
Where a third party fulfils an order on our behalf, your consumer purchase remains with Boltz Electronics unless we clearly state otherwise before the contract is formed.
Using a third-party fulfilment provider does not remove statutory responsibilities that Boltz Electronics has to its customers under applicable UK consumer law.
16. IMPORTS AND INTERNATIONAL FULFILMENT
Some products may be manufactured, stored or dispatched from outside the United Kingdom.
Where applicable, information concerning delivery, taxes, duties or other charges payable by the customer will be provided before purchase where required by law.
Customers will not be charged undisclosed mandatory costs that should legally have been included or disclosed before the order was placed.
17. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNTS
From time to time, Boltz Electronics may offer discounts, promotional codes or special offers.
Individual promotions may have additional terms, including eligibility requirements and expiry dates.
Promotions cannot normally be exchanged for cash and may not be combined unless expressly stated.
We will present promotional pricing and conditions transparently and in accordance with applicable law.
18. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the Boltz Electronics name, branding, website design and original content created for Boltz Electronics are owned by or licensed to Boltz Electronics.
Third-party product names, trademarks, photographs and other materials remain the property of their respective owners where applicable.
Content from our website may not be reproduced, distributed or commercially exploited without appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.
19. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Our website may contain links to or functionality provided by third-party services, including payment providers, delivery services and Shopify.
Third-party services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
Boltz Electronics is not responsible for unrelated third-party websites merely because our website contains a link to them.
Nothing in this section removes any responsibility Boltz Electronics has for products or services that we ourselves sell to you.
20. SHOPIFY
Our online store is powered by Shopify.
Shopify provides the ecommerce technology that enables us to operate the store, but products purchased through the Boltz Electronics store are sold by Boltz Electronics unless clearly stated otherwise.
Shopify may process certain information in accordance with its own terms and privacy policies.
21. PRIVACY
Personal information collected through our store will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
Please review our Privacy Policy for further information about how personal information is collected, used, stored and shared.
22. CUSTOMER REVIEWS AND CONTENT
Where customers are permitted to submit reviews, photographs or other content, that material must be lawful, genuine and must not infringe the rights of another person.
We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary, including fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, misleading or irrelevant material.
Submitting a review does not remove your ownership of your original content, but you grant Boltz Electronics reasonable permission to display and use that content in connection with operating and promoting the store, subject to applicable law.
23. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or liability arising from consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, these Terms do not remove protections provided to you by UK consumer law.
24. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We will not be responsible for a failure or delay caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control where the law permits.
If such circumstances materially affect your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and will inform you where appropriate.
Your statutory rights, including any rights relating to significant delivery delays or cancellation, remain unaffected.
25. COMPLAINTS
If you are unhappy with an order or with the service you have received, please contact Boltz Electronics using the contact details displayed on our website.
We will aim to investigate complaints fairly and respond within a reasonable period.
Nothing in our complaints process prevents you from exercising any legal rights available to you.
26. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, products or applicable law.
The Terms applying to an individual purchase will normally be those in force when the relevant contract was made, unless a change is required by law or otherwise validly agreed.
The current version will be available through the Boltz Electronics website.
27. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as removed or limited to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
28. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections provided by the law applicable where you live.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of mandatory legal protections or rights concerning where legal proceedings may be brought.
29. CONTACT INFORMATION
Questions about these Terms or an order can be sent to Boltz Electronics using the contact information displayed on our website.
Before the store begins accepting orders, Boltz Electronics will publish the business and contact information required by applicable UK law.
30. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
Further information about consumer rights is available from official UK consumer-information services and relevant regulatory authorities.
