High-Value Orders & Specialist Delivery
Boltz Electronics is the trading name of Boltz Electronics Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Unless expressly stated otherwise, customers purchasing through Boltz contract with Boltz Electronics Ltd as the retailer, including where an approved manufacturer or logistics partner fulfils the shipment directly.
What we check before a specialist order is committed
For high-value and project equipment, our aim is to remove avoidable uncertainty before an irreversible manufacturer commitment is made. Depending on the product and order, this may include confirming the exact model and configuration, current manufacturer availability, destination-market electrical requirements, delivery scope, access information, warranty or support arrangements and other order-specific requirements.
If an important point remains unresolved, we would rather clarify it with the customer and supplier than present an assumption as confirmed.
High-Value Order Verification
For certain high-value, large, heavy or specialist products, Boltz Electronics may carry out additional order, fraud-prevention, delivery-access, product-configuration, electrical-requirement and supplier-availability checks before accepting an order, capturing an authorised card payment or releasing an order for fulfilment.
Where supported by the selected payment method, a card transaction may initially be authorised without being captured. An order acknowledgement or payment authorisation does not by itself mean that an order has been finally accepted or released for fulfilment.
Payment Methods for High-Value Orders
Boltz Electronics may make alternative payment methods available for high-value orders, including bank transfer or another approved method. The available method and any payment stages will be shown or agreed before the customer is bound. Using a particular payment method does not remove statutory consumer rights.
Where a UK consumer is legally entitled to a full statutory refund, Boltz Electronics will not deduct its own card-processing, payment-processing or merchant-acquiring fee from that statutory refund.
Alternative and Potentially Faster Delivery Options
Depending on the equipment, destination, supplier readiness and available freight services, Boltz Electronics may be able to arrange alternative international shipping routes, including potentially faster services. Before you commit to purchasing, contact us with your chosen product and delivery destination so we can check the available options and provide an estimated delivery timeframe and any relevant additional charges.
Delivery options and estimates are subject to confirmation with our suppliers and logistics partners. Faster delivery is not guaranteed for every product or destination, and no alternative route is included unless confirmed in writing for your order.
Delivery Access
Before dispatch of a large or heavy product, we may ask you to provide measured access information relevant to the delivery route, including doorway, corridor, stairway or lift dimensions, turning restrictions, unloading conditions and the intended final location. We may request photographs or other reasonable information where necessary to plan specialist delivery.
Please provide measurements and access information accurately. Providing this information does not remove or restrict statutory consumer rights. Where a failed delivery, redelivery, storage or other cost results from materially inaccurate information supplied by the customer, any recovery of that cost will be limited to amounts that are reasonable and legally recoverable.
Large and Non-Postable Returns
Some products cannot normally be returned by post because of their size, weight or specialist handling requirements. Where a consumer is legally responsible for the direct cost of returning goods following a change-of-mind cancellation, Boltz Electronics will provide the return-cost information or reasonable estimate required by law before the consumer is bound by the contract.
The return destination and approved return procedure may vary by product and logistics network. Where Boltz Electronics offers an optional collection service, any collection cost payable by the customer will be expressly agreed before collection is arranged.
Genuinely Bespoke or Personalised Equipment
A statutory exception to the normal change-of-mind cancellation right may apply to goods genuinely made to a consumer's individual specifications or clearly personalised. Standard catalogue equipment is not treated as bespoke merely because it is manufactured, assembled or ordered after checkout or because standard options are selected from an ordinary range. Where Boltz believes an exception applies, this will be identified clearly before purchase.
Setup, Installation and Commissioning
On-site fitting, installation or commissioning is not included as a standard Boltz service. Manufacturer instructions, setup videos, online training or remote technical guidance may be provided where available. These forms of support do not mean that an engineer or installer will attend the delivery address.
If a customer separately requests, and Boltz expressly agrees in writing to provide or arrange, an ancillary service such as site assessment, specialist assembly, setup or commissioning, the exact scope and any applicable charge will be confirmed separately. Where such a service is to begin during an applicable statutory cancellation period, Boltz Electronics will obtain any express request or acknowledgement required by law before beginning that service.
Handling and Diminished Value
A consumer cancelling a distance contract may examine goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Where handling goes beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop and causes a reduction in value, Boltz Electronics may recover that diminution in value to the extent permitted by law. Any assessment will be made individually and on objective evidence rather than by a preset percentage or penalty.
Consumer and Business Purchases
Consumers should read our Consumer Terms of Sale, Returns & Refunds information and Standard Cancellation Form.
Where a purchaser is acting wholly or mainly for purposes relating to a trade, business, craft or profession, different commercial terms may apply. Business customers should read our Business & Commercial Terms of Sale. Boltz Electronics may require a separate commercial quotation or supply agreement for business purchases.
Statutory Rights
Nothing on this page excludes or restricts statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
