Before You Buy — Questions & Answers

High-value wellness equipment is not an everyday purchase. Before choosing a massage chair or hyperbaric chamber, it is sensible to understand the practical details as well as the specification. Below are some of the questions buyers commonly need answered before ordering.

Where a requirement varies by model, property, access route or final supplier configuration, Boltz will confirm it specifically before order rather than make assumptions.

Hyperbaric Chambers

Will a hard-shell hyperbaric chamber fit through my doorway?

It depends on the exact chamber and your access route. Chamber dimensions alone are not enough: doorway width, hallway turns, staircases, lifts, external access and the space needed for manoeuvring all matter. For larger systems, particularly multiplace chambers, Boltz recommends checking the complete delivery route before purchase. We can compare your access measurements against the confirmed dimensions of the model you are considering.

How much space should I allow around the chamber?

You should allow more than the chamber's physical footprint. Space may also be needed for the compressor, oxygen concentrator or concentrators, air-management equipment, ventilation, cabling, access panels and comfortable entry and exit. Exact requirements vary by model and should be confirmed before setup.

How heavy are these chambers?

Weight varies significantly. For example, the Macy Pan HP2202-85 is approximately 180 kg, the HP2202-90 approximately 200 kg, and the HE5000 chamber body approximately 420 kg, with additional system equipment. These figures are useful for planning, but floor loading and final site suitability should be assessed for the intended location.

Who unloads the chamber when it arrives?

Delivery arrangements depend on the model, destination and access conditions. Where Boltz lists DDP door-to-door delivery, this covers the agreed international delivery arrangement, but it should not automatically be assumed to include specialist unloading, internal positioning, cranes, forklifts, stair handling or building work. Any special access requirement should be identified before the order is finalised.

Does the price include delivery?

For the Macy Pan chambers currently listed by Boltz, the product pages state DDP residential delivery to the UK, USA and Canada subject to address and access conditions. Remote locations, difficult access, specialist unloading or additional positioning requirements may alter the delivery arrangement. The final delivery scope should always be confirmed in writing for the destination address.

What electrical supply will I need?

This depends on the model. Current Macy Pan hard-shell systems listed by Boltz support 110/220 VAC ±10%, while the HE5000 is listed for 110/220/240 VAC ±10%. The HE5000 is rated at 1250 W. Buyers should still confirm the final export configuration, plug type, circuit requirements and local electrical suitability before setup.

Does Boltz include on-site fitting or installation?

No on-site fitting or installation should be assumed to be included. Some systems are modular and designed for comparatively straightforward assembly, and manufacturers such as Macy Pan provide installation guidance, online training and after-sales support. That guidance and remote support are not the same as an engineer attending the property. If a particular order includes any on-site assembly, installation, commissioning, unloading or positioning service, it will be specifically confirmed in writing before the order is finalised.

What supporting equipment comes with the chamber?

This varies by model. The current Macy Pan systems listed by Boltz include integrated supporting equipment such as compressors, oxygen concentrators and air-management components. The exact package should be checked on the individual product page and confirmed before purchase.

Can I communicate with someone outside the chamber?

The Macy Pan hard-shell models currently listed by Boltz include two-way communication or intercom functionality. This is particularly important on larger or longer sessions and is one of the practical features Boltz checks when comparing systems.

What happens if I need help after delivery?

Current Macy Pan listings include manufacturer after-sales support and online training. Boltz also records the stated manufacturer warranty on each product page. Warranty scope, exclusions and the route for technical support should be reviewed before purchase so the buyer understands who handles each stage of support.

Massage Chairs

Will a massage chair fit through a standard doorway?

Often, but not always. Massage chairs can be bulky even when their operating footprint is reasonable. The important measurements are the chair's shipping dimensions, assembled dimensions and the narrowest part of the delivery route. Doorways, hallways, stair turns and lift dimensions should be checked before ordering.

How much room does a massage chair need?

This varies with the recline system and track design. A chair may require clearance behind or in front as it moves into zero-gravity or reclined positions. Boltz recommends checking the confirmed operating dimensions of the exact model rather than relying only on its upright size.

Does Boltz fit or assemble massage chairs on site?

Not as a standard service. Where the supplier provides setup instructions, videos or remote technical support, these can be used to assist with setup. On-site assembly, specialist positioning or fitting is included only if it has been expressly confirmed in writing for the individual order.

What is the difference between 4D massage and a basic massage mechanism?

A 4D mechanism is designed to vary not only roller position and depth but also speed and pressure characteristics through the massage movement. The actual quality of a 4D chair still depends on the mechanism, track, programming, body detection and overall construction, which is why Boltz compares the full specification rather than relying on the term “4D” by itself.

What does SL-track mean?

An SL-track follows the natural shape of the back and continues further beneath the seat than a shorter back-only track. Track length and flexibility vary considerably between chairs. For example, the Body Care Elite Series is currently listed with an approximately 152 cm SL-track.

Is a dual-movement chair automatically better?

No. A second movement can increase coverage and allow more than one area to be worked at the same time, but mechanism quality, control, track design, programming and fit still matter. Boltz treats dual movement as one engineering feature among many rather than a guarantee of a better chair.

Do these chairs scan or detect the body?

Several current Boltz models include intelligent body detection or body-scanning functions. These systems help adjust the massage path to the user, but the exact detection method and level of adjustment vary by model.

Do the chairs include leg and foot massage?

Current Boltz massage-chair listings include lower-body treatment features such as calf kneading, air compression, foot massage and multi-point foot rollers depending on the model. The exact combination should be checked on the individual chair page.

Do they include heating?

Several current models include targeted heating or hot-compress functions. The heated areas differ between chairs, so Boltz lists the confirmed locations where known rather than describing every chair simply as “heated.”

What happens if there is a problem after delivery?

Warranty and support vary by supplier and model. Boltz records the confirmed manufacturer warranty on each listing and will continue to separate verified support terms from assumptions. Buyers should review the warranty section of the individual product before ordering.

Questions We Recommend Asking Before Any High-Value Purchase

Before committing to a high-value massage chair or hyperbaric chamber, confirm the exact model, final specification, overall dimensions, weight, electrical requirements, delivery scope, access route, setup responsibility, warranty, after-sales support and any exclusions that may affect your property or intended use.
